On February 12th, 2003, Phil Jarvis and Yves Boutot from Canada presented The Real Game to a group of teachers from bilingual comprehensive schools from Berlin and Bremen, Germany.
All of these schools will pilot The Real Game in Berlin and Bremen from now until December 31st, 2003:
Staatliche Internationale Schule Berlin
Bremen: Gymnasium Hamburger Straße
The schools will be supported by P:S-W Partner:Schule-Wirtschaft, a Berlin organization which aims at improving cooperation between schools and economy. The German Bundesanstalt für Arbeit will take over the costs for the necessary Real Game kits. The piloting started in August 2003 and ended on December 31st. During this time pupils and teachers evaluated their experiences with The Real Game and handed in their ideas and suggestions for adapting The Real Game to Germany and the German language.
The detailed report about the pilot is written in German and can be downloaded on this site: www.psw-berlin.de/seiten/l_rgame.htm.
The decisions if and how TRGS will be piloted in a German version will be taken between PSW and the Bundesagentur für Arbeit, Nürnberg, in the near future.
